1. Oral hygiene 🔑- Brush twice and floss daily. Water flosser and interdental brushes are your good friends! Water flosser cleans around implants ensuring no food particles are left behind. Use a non abrasive toothpaste.

2. Mind your diet 🍛- Sure you can load your implanted tooth just like your natural tooth 💪; but make sure the forces are PROGRESSIVE! Start eating soft food, followed by firm food with your new tooth. A couple of weeks later, you can start enjoying hardy food too in moderation.

3. Spot those red flags 🚩 by monitoring any signs of trouble. If you experience- cap loosening, chipping, redness, swelling, bleeding around the implant; contact your dentist immediately.

4. Kick those bad habits! 🚫
🚬 Smoking causes delayed healing by reduced blood flow, individuals are more prone to gum disease and bacterial 🦠 growth; responsible for higher Implant- failure rates.

🍺 Excessive alcohol interferes with nutrient absorption, chronic consumption leads to decrease in bone density and reduced immunity. Dry mouth, reduced saliva (saliva neutralises acid and washes away bacteria) causes more risk of oral infections.
